Moving on… This 17 October our New Vice President Ken will help us learn and entertain us about those funny creatures we see running around our cactus and racing with the roadrunners.
A word about TROLLS,
Trolls began in Norse mythology, then all of Scandinavia. Their primary existence came from parents trying the “scare” their children into certain behaviors. Eventually trolls grew in stature from ugly giants (jotnars) in Sweden to equally nasty looking creatures (huldrefolk) in Norse. They were hostile creatures that turned to stone in the sunlight, so lived in caves, forests and dark shadows.  Oral stories were told how they could interfere with events in daily life, so the mythology became folklore. To this day you can find many statue samples of Trolls from Oslo to Reykjavik.
We will discuss Trolls from Norway to Sweden to Iceland.  We will have some actual Trolls from, Norway, but they will be caged for safety.
Presentation will include PowerPoint.

Ken Lund
