Who we are

Our Tucson Chapter 201 was started in 1975 with the celebration of the sesquicentennial for Norwegian organized immigration to the United States. Norwegians Worldwide and Norway-America Association have Merged to Strenghten Transatlantic Ties, and their mission has changed. The mission of new NORAM is to continue promoting transatlantic academic and cultural exchange, ensuring lifelong learning. We continue as a local chapter with the same basic focus of programs and culture, while broadening our scope to include all Scandinavian Countries

Since then we have had a significant presence in the Tucson area, offering versatile programs, covering all sides of Norwegian culture, Norwegian-American topics and other related fields.  Our goal is  “to inform and entertain”, and as you can see on this website, we do this through speakers, musicians, films, panel discussions, foods and social time, special interest groups and services, always with a focus on our Scandinavian connection.  With the help of our active members and a dedicated board we have a lot to offer, and we invite you to join us!

Visitors are always welcome!
